In continuation of the nationwide tour of the Kogi State House of Assembly delegation led by Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole to woo their counterparts who are members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) across the country in support of Governor Yahaya Bello’s Presidential ambition come 2023,
Rt. Hon. Matthew Kolawole and ten other members were in Katsina to meet with their counterparts to seek their support for Governor Bello’s intention to contest for the Presidency.

Kolawole said Kogi State House of Assembly with the twenty five members being of the All Progressives Congress, same as Katsina State House of Assembly with 34 members, all also of the APC.
He pointed out that aside from the fact Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is the first political son of President Muhammadu Buhari, the age of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a plus with the ongoing agitation for the younger generation to be given a chance to govern the country.
This is coupled with his undisputable performances in the area of security, education, youth and women inclusiveness in governance, health, civil service reform and infrastructures development in the last five years in the state.
He said this prompted the Kogi State House of Assembly to pass a vote of confidence on him and also asked him to seek for the office of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria for the entire country to benefit from his leadership acumen.
He said the Governor will be bold and courageous enough to confront the mirage of challenges daring the peace, unity and progress of the country, in addition to the fact that north central zone has been left in the cold since the country returned to democratic rule in 1999.
According to him, the north central needs to be supported by other zones since they have not been privileged to occupy the exalted seat of both the President and Vice President.

According to them there are Ebira and other people from Kogi State that are successful businessmen and are doing Katsina proud in their various fields of endeavours.
