The Senator Godswill Akpabio Media Organisation (SGAMO) has commended Nigerians over their outpouring love, prayers and unwavering support for Senator Godswill Akpabio’s Senate Presidency aspirations in the 10th National Assembly.
In a Thursday statement, the media organisation saluted the APC leadership and the Progressives Governors Forum for zoning and subsequent endorsement of Senator Godswill Akpabio as consensus candidate for the party in the forthcoming Senate Presidency election.
In the statement, they also applauded the courage and the sacrifices of all the Senators-elect in both the APC and the opposition political parties.
“Senator Godswill Akpabio is the Senate President Nigeria needs for the 10th Assembly. He is experienced and passionate, loyal and above all, he is uncommon.
“We want to specially thank Nigerians for their unflinching support for Senator Godswill Akpabio. We are overwhelmed with their outpouring of love and support for his candidacy for the Senate Presidency race.
“We also thank His Excellency President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership skills and his endorsement. We also thank the APC leadership and the Senators-elect under the APC and across all the rest parties, namely PDP, LP and NNPP, for their support across party lines for the candidacy of Senator Godswill Akpabio,” the organisation said.
“Senator Godswill Akpabio will take the Nigerian Senate to greater heights when elected and he will ensure a smooth relationship between the Executive and the Legislature, as President of the Senate,” the Senator Godswill Akpabio Media Organisation further said.
