Promoters of the proposed mega party have issued a memo to state coordinators to nominate prospective facilitators for the 36 states of the federation ahead of the National Consultative Front’s national retreat slated for the end of January, 2021.
The NCFront is a new political movement being facilitated by Prof Pat Utomi, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na’abba, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, among others.
In the memo titled, “Memo to all members of NCFront,” dated January 22, 2021, and signed by Dr Tanko Yinusa, the movement urged members to ensure only people of proven integrity were nominated.
It read in part, “Please be notified that as promoters and members of this distinguished NCFront platform, you’re hereby requested by the National Secretariat of the NCFront to recommend and nominate prospective state facilitators for our proposed Mega Political Mass Movement from today, Friday, 22nd January, 2021, ahead of the NCFront national retreat slated to hold by the end of January, 2021; to initiate and launch our historical value-driven, service-oriented ideological mass movement/mega party.
“Stakeholders and promoters of the NCFront shall from today, Friday, be expected to nominate three eminent citizens of conscience for each of the 36 states of Nigeria that will help to facilitate NCFront interim/provisional seven-member state exco across the 36 states of the federation. Nomination is expected to close by Friday, January 29, 2021.
